What does effective communication look like?

 

• There is a difference between Hearing and Listening (“you do not understand/listen to me/you don’t believe me” is a very common issue)

• We all have habits/patterns we automatically "default" to (history/baggage)

• The art of Listening to what you hear as well as what you don’t hear

• Speaking to each other in a respectful manner - even if we are upset and angry 

• What is my child's Love Language and how can I use that in my communication with them?
